Senior Specialist in Commercialization and IP Protection – Knowledge Transfer Broker (M/F) (CCAI/2026/7)

Warsaw University of Technology is recruiting a Knowledge Transfer Broker for the Centre for Credible AI to support commercialization of research results within the MAB project, including market analysis, transfer strategies, and intellectual property protection.

The Knowledge Transfer Broker will support commercialization processes for research results developed within the MAB project. The role includes analyzing market potential of technologies, preparing strategies for transferring research outcomes, and cooperating with partners that support and implement commercialization activities. Responsibilities also include market monitoring, ensuring proper implementation of commercialization strategies with due consideration for intellectual property protection, and collaborating with the Warsaw University of Technology unit responsible for technology transfer. The position is financed through an EU programme and follows Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment (OTM-R) principles.

Responsibilities

  • Commercialization of research results obtained within the MAB project
  • Conducting continuous market analysis and monitoring
  • Developing the most appropriate strategy for the transfer of project results
  • Ensuring proper implementation of research commercialization strategies, with particular emphasis on protection of developed intellectual property
  • Cooperation with the Warsaw University of Technology unit responsible for technology transfer

Requirements

  • Higher education degree (preferred fields: Computer Science, Mathematics, Automation and Robotics, Cognitive Science, Data Engineering, Economics, Innovation Management, Technology Transfer, or related disciplines); interdisciplinary education combining a technical background (AI/ML) with business expertise is an advantage
  • At least 5 years of documented work experience
  • Documented experience in technology transfer, commercialization of research results, or innovation management (e.g. strategies, market analyses, business plans, or implemented technology deployment projects)
  • General knowledge of Artificial Intelligence models, including main applications, capabilities, and limitations of contemporary AI solutions
  • Practical knowledge of intellectual property protection processes
  • Ability to establish and develop relationships with industry, scientific institutions, and the business environment
  • Fluent command of English, both spoken and written
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Preferred: postgraduate studies, specialist courses, or certifications in technology transfer, IP management, research commercialization, or innovation management
  • Preferred: PhD in a field related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science
  • Preferred: experience in international R&D consortia, scientific institutions, technology transfer centers, or industry
  • Preferred: knowledge of EU research and innovation funding mechanisms and experience in technology valuations for commercialization
