Junior Researcher (M/F) - Centre for Credible AI (CCAI/2026/R1/4)

Warsaw University of Technology is recruiting two Junior Researchers (doctoral-student level) for the Centre for Credible AI, each at 0.5 FTE, to support theoretical and computational AI research.

This recruitment covers two part-time roles in an interdisciplinary team at the Centre for Credible AI. Candidates will contribute to AI research through mathematical reasoning and software support for computational experiments, while working on tool development for data processing, visualization, experiment automation, and reproducible research workflows. The role is designed for doctoral students who want to build strong scientific and engineering foundations in credible and explainable AI.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in AI research, including mathematical proof work and programming support for experiments
  • Design and implement software components for AI experiments, including LLM and generative-model scenarios
  • Develop and maintain tools for data processing, visualization, and experiment automation
  • Document results through scientific publications, internal reports, and technical materials
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on scalable and reproducible experimental procedures

Requirements

  • Doctoral student status and completed higher education
  • Strong mathematical background and formal-method skills
  • Software engineering experience in designing, testing, and maintaining complex codebases (preferably Python or C++)
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and support implementation and documentation activities
  • Very good command of English
