Junior Researcher (doctoral student) (M/F) - Centre for Credible AI (CCAI/2026/R1/8)

Warsaw University of Technology is recruiting two Junior Researchers (doctoral students) for the Centre for Credible AI to participate in interdisciplinary AI research, including analytical tool development and computing infrastructure.

The person employed in this position will participate in research of a team working in the field of artificial intelligence. The work is interdisciplinary in nature and requires close cooperation with research teams in the creation, optimisation, and implementation of analytical tools and computing infrastructure. The role is designed for doctoral students with strong theoretical foundations in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in interdisciplinary AI research within the Centre for Credible AI
  • Support creation, optimisation, and implementation of analytical tools and computing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with research teams on theoretical and computational aspects of AI projects
  • Contribute to implementation, optimisation, and documentation of programming solutions

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical skills and knowledge
  • Experience in math/coding competitions or research projects is an advantage
  • Experience in software engineering, including designing, testing, and maintaining complex code systems (preferred languages: Python, C++, or others used in computational research)
  • Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and willingness to support researchers in implementation, optimisation, and documentation of programming solutions
  • Master's degree (higher education) at the time of employment
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Strong background in mathematics, computer science, and formal methods, with interest in theoretical approaches to machine learning and artificial intelligence
